Last mile social connectivity

Meet your next friend, study buddy or collaborator at a café, a museum or a community event.

Spaces is an anonymous, consent-driven, proximity-triggered introduction network for real-world events, venues and everyday spaces, from conferences and cafés to coworking hubs, hostels and beyond.

How it works

One evening, start to finish

An example of how a single introduction might play out at a founders' meetup. Most of the night, Spaces stays out of the way.

  1. You scan the code at the entrance

Open the event with its code or invite link.

  2. You see who's hosting

See the host and end time. Your identity stays hidden unless you're introduced to someone and you both say yes.

  3. You choose what to be matched on

On your first visit, your persona and the host's topics start selected. Uncheck any topic to exclude it from tonight's matches. Your saved persona stays the same.

  4. You add a note for tonight

Add a note about finding a technical cofounder. Spaces uses it only for tonight's matches, and no one sees your exact words.

  5. You check in and put your phone away

Check in to join the event and turn on suggestions. Pause them any time without checking out.

  6. A short note arrives

Someone nearby also builds AI agents and is figuring out their go-to-market strategy. Their name stays hidden.

  7. You say yes

Your yes stays private. If they pass or the note expires, no names are shown.

  8. They say yes too

You both see names, photos, and more about why you matched.

  9. You meet by the coffee counter

Use a quick reply to find each other. Then talk in person.

Your persona

That was one evening. Your persona comes to every one.

Same you. A different part of you, here.

At a demo night in HSR Layout, I’m up for AI agents, angel investing and go-to-market. At a Sunday café in Indiranagar, specialty coffee, chess and Stoicism. At a rooftop party in the Mission, techno and DJ sets, bouldering and IPL cricket.

Same you. A different part of you, here.

Last month it didn't know you're into mechanical keyboards. One prompt later, it does.

Only what you check in with is used to match you there. Nobody sees the rest.

Why you might click

You're both building AI agents, and both working out go-to-market.

Open until 9:40 PM

Names appear only if you both say yes, at the same moment.

Privacy

You see why, not who

  • Your persona stays private

Joining a space never makes it public. It's used for matching, and that's all.

  • You choose the topics, each visit

Decide what's on the table in each place. Adding an interest to your persona doesn't switch it on everywhere.

  • Nobody hears a no

Pass, ignore or let a note expire, and no one's identity is revealed.

  • Pause whenever you like

Turn suggestions off and stay checked in, or check out to end the visit.

For hosts

Run a café, a coworking space or an event?

Hosts will be able to open a space, suggest topics and set hours. We're starting with a small group of hosts.
